Installation Guide for Exhaust Pipes

Follow these steps to install your Jiangxi Guangfu exhaust pipe safely and effectively. We recommend professional installation for best results, but if you’re a DIY enthusiast, here’s a simple guide:
What You’ll Need:
  • Socket wrench set
  • Jack and jack stands (or a lift)
  • Penetrating oil (e.g., WD-40)
  • Safety gear (gloves, safety glasses)
  • Exhaust pipe hangers and gaskets (included with your purchase)
Installation Steps:
  1. Preparation:
    • Park your vehicle on a flat surface and let the exhaust system cool down completely.
    • Wear safety gloves and glasses to protect yourself.
    • Lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands, or use a lift for better access.
  2. Remove the Old Exhaust:
    • Locate the exhaust pipe section you’re replacing (usually connected via clamps or bolts).
    • Spray penetrating oil on bolts and clamps to loosen rust, then wait 5-10 minutes.
    • Use a socket wrench to remove bolts/clamps and carefully detach the old exhaust pipe.
    • Check the hangers and gaskets for wear—replace if needed.
  3. Install the New Exhaust Pipe:
    • Align the Jiangxi Guangfu exhaust pipe with the existing system, ensuring proper fitment.
    • Secure the pipe using the provided clamps, bolts, and hangers. Tighten loosely at first to allow adjustments.
    • Install new gaskets (included) to ensure a leak-free seal.
  4. Final Adjustments:
    • Double-check alignment and ensure the exhaust pipe doesn’t touch any undercarriage components.
    • Fully tighten all bolts and clamps to the manufacturer’s torque specifications (typically 15-20 ft-lbs, but check your vehicle manual).
    • Lower the vehicle carefully.
  5. Test and Inspect:
    • Start the engine and listen for leaks or unusual noises.
    • Check for proper clearance and ensure the exhaust tip is positioned correctly.
    • Take a short test drive to confirm performance and sound.
Important Notes:
  • Professional Installation Recommended: For optimal safety and performance, we strongly suggest having a certified mechanic install your exhaust pipe.
  • Vehicle Compatibility: Ensure the exhaust pipe matches your vehicle’s make, model, and year (refer to product details or contact us).
  • Warranty: Improper installation may void your warranty—follow these steps carefully.
  • Safety First: Never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack; always use jack stands.
